Four PoS Cryptocurrencies Show Impressive Growth Against Bitcoin In Three Months
Four major cryptocurrencies based on the Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism have shown significant growth in relation to Bitcoin over the past three months. These are Tezos (XTZ), Cosmos (ATOM), VeChain (VET) and NEO. On average, over the specified period, their growth against bitcoin was 49%, according to data from the Messari portal..VeChain currently leads in relative growth to bitcoin, up 58% in three months.
Other coins aren't too far behind - Cosmos, Tezos and NEO climbed 55%, 48% and 35%, respectively. In December, Tezos even managed to break into the top 10 largest by asset capitalization, but to date it has returned to 14th place..
At the same time, about half of the top 25 cryptocurrencies also moved up to Bitcoin, but their growth was not so significant. The observed dynamics can be explained by the strategy of exchanges, which in recent times make staking more and more accessible to users interested in getting passive income from collecting awards. Binance, for example, has separated the staking service into a separate platform..
IN this Wednesday, when bitcoin rallied 5% and surpassed the $ 8,300 level, a slightly different dynamic was observed. XTZ maintains parity with BTC, ATOM is down 5%, NEO is down 3%, and VET is down 7%.
