11 million TDAmeritrade clients can access cryptocurrencies through cooperation with ErisX
American regulated cryptocurrency exchange ErisX prepares to launch trading on the spot market and is already testing with companies hoping to take advantage of its infrastructure, writes The Block with reference to sources familiar with the situation.According to them, one such firm is the broker TDAmeritrade, whose 11 million retail clients will soon be able to access cryptocurrency trading. An ErisX spokesman declined to comment this information, noting only that the trading platform organized "a production environment with a limited number of participants in order to optimize processes in anticipation of the public launch." TDAmeritrade clients were previously given the opportunity to work with bitcoin futures.
IN present time ErisX is awaiting regulatory approval for the launch of spot and derivatives markets. TDAmeritrade is a strategic investor in ErisX and could become one of the first large brokers to provide retail traders with access to cryptocurrencies as an independent asset.
Recently, one of the clients of TDAmeritrade reported the discovery of an instrument in the offer of a brokerage firm for trade bitcoin, while in test mode.
